I think these are both really great images, especially the top image.
I'd like to see this subject again sometime - sorry you finished badly, but that was a challenge problem, not a photography problem. :) |

Since the commenters seem to want some kind of explanation - here it is: I did not realize how similar the images were since I took them from two positions that were quite different until I was putting together the diptych for entry. At that point, it was too late to try to shoot anything else.
The top image was shot along the tendril and almost at the same level - note the OOF left to in-focus right and the position of the right leaf and the "seeker".
The bottom image was shot from directly centered and above the tendril (note it is in focus the entire length, and again note the position of the right leaf and "seeker").
For me, this was a great "educational" entry as it reinforced the difference between real world experience and mental vision vs. the image the camera captures.
It provides the experience that shows real-world experience and perspective don't cound - if it isn't in the captured image, it - for the viewer - simply does not exist. |

Really nice images, but I'm having a hard time seeing one as from the point of view of the other. |

I don't understand the point of view in this pic. Who is doing the looking? |

Huh? Two nearly identical images, and this is supposed to show what? |
