Thanks so much for the votes and comments everyone! I really appreciate it!

I thought that the photo itself covered the description of the challenge well, but the selection and processing was done with less than 10min before the challenge ended...so...maybe a little too dark overall?

this photo was taken on the west side of manhattan on west side highway and clarkson st. its an alleyway of a tiny tiny abandoned 1950's diner that was once called the 'lost diner'.

Totally under appreciated and misunderstood. This was one of my top 3 choices. Meets the challenge description perfectly as light and shadow are clearly vying with each other for attention.

crazy discarded mannequin scene. There is total neglect and despair, so much so that more shadow would be a blessing.

I really like this photograph. The grunge appearance. Dirty. Scary. But beautiful in its own way.
Love how the light highlights the large white object (pillow?) and the doll head. Eerie feeling here.
