 Shot was taken over the St. Croix River, the dividing line between Minnesota and Wisconsin. This was my favorite shot from the fireworks in Stillwater, Minnesota. Stillwater is considered the birthplace of Minnesota and is one of only a few towns that was established prior to Minnesota becoming a state. Stillwater cherishes its Minnesota history as well as its lift bridge. Much controversy has erupted over the past few years with efforts to replace the inconvenient lift bridge with a modern one. A compromise was finally met to leave most of the lift bridge, but build a modern bridge a 1/2 mile away.

Good processing and color. I think the foreground is ok at best, but certainly not terrible, and it's fun to see all those people lined up!
