Critique Club Critique
(1) COMPOSITION (CONTENT) ΓΆ€“ Overall, quite good. Everything is generally centered, probably ok. I would like to see a version where the doll is moved to the right a tad, with a little more angle where the legs are aiming more left. I think this would help the overall flow. With the current angles, the head looks too large for the body. Good choice of vertical format.
(2) BACKGROUND ΓΆ€“ Very good. The white is the right choice, and this is well executed; smooth in all the right places.
(3) CAMERA WORK ,TECHNICAL ΓΆ€“ Looks good. The top of the head is blown out a little, probably could have done ok with a little smaller aperture.
(4) DIGITAL PROCESSING ,TECHNICAL ΓΆ€“ Looks ok to me. Good choice of B&W for this one.
(5) MY OPINION ON THE PHOTO ΓΆ€“ Meets the humor challenge, brings on a smile. So good idea, and well executed.

Ohh the nudity! Neat shot! Funny! Having her hold her own head is such a great touch! Your background is - I dunno - I can't think of a better one, black doesn't seem like a good idea, but the white, it's sooo negative (in a glary sort of way) that I'm just not sure I can get fully behind it. O.K? 7 Swash |

Nicely executed shot and technically sound. I especially like the whispery background. Problem is I doesn't hit my funny bone very hard. 7 |

The positioning of the "model" is excellent. I like the B & W. Seems just a bit over-exposed to me. Good job. |

Man....I'm gonna have to flag this one for nudity. LOL. Just kidding. This is actually quite funny for anyone who has every tried to take a photo of a person. You say that so much that this is a likely reaction if it were possible. I like the angle and framing/cropping and the focus is good as well. My only other comment is that the background white kind of absorbs your subject to the right. Her hair almost totally blends into the background. Not a huge problem though. Very funny. Good luck in the challenge. |

great composition and lighting... the focus is a bit out of whack though... if you were on macro mode maybe the camera was just a little to close? I have that problem on occasion |

Great shot. I love the overblown whites and even the slight grain on the shot... it really fits the almost serial-killer feeling I get from the shot. 8. |

This is something my kids would do to their barbies. Anyhow, I love the lighting and the cloth in which you have set her on. It gives a nice soft feeling. Great soft shadow work here as well. Certainly meets the challenge. Great Job..GL |
