I hope people like this picture. This sword is "Excalibur", and was given to me by my wonderful wife as a wedding present. The dragon on it is actual from the house of Pendragon (as in King Arthur Pendragon), but I thought the knights, dragon and ruby represented House Targaryen well for this challenge.
I had taken some images of a rose in full bloom that i was going to shift into yellow (from pink) for House Tyrell, but couldn't get away from the image of the sword.
Unfortunately getting a full sword image was not going to work given the size of the sword and the locations in which I could feesibly shoot images while walking around with the sword. My back deck is looking pretty weathered, so I thought it might look like it could be a period-esque wall that this sword might hang from and placed the hilt accordingly to land on a single board.
I'm REALLY REALLY hoping that this breaks a 6, though i don't expect above a 5.5 given my history with voters.
I think i'll have a bit of a mental breakdown if this scores in the 4's... please don't cause a mental collapse. (or have caused one since you're only reading this after voting ended).
Anyways, the technical details in case i have to recount them at a later time:
Import from raw
slight bump shadow/brightness/saturation
flip image vertical
topaz adjust with vignette
