 Robert's sister was visiting from California, and while Robert and her husband played golf I took her to see if the local herring/alewife were still returning to spawn, which entails them leaping up/over a series of small falls. The "run" was almost over, but one of the ponds just above the falls was full of them, seemingly just circling endlessly. I like the abstract design they form.

Your painting got an enthusiastic 10 from me. It truly qualifies as a painting with chiaroscuro and golden hues, figurative and abstract in the same time - made me think imemdiately to Rembrandt self portrait at the Frick Collecton
