Thanks for all the great comments. I agree a drop of blood would have been nice, but I am not quite that devoted. :-)

ouch! while i get your point, this would have had more impact if you'd drawn blood (just to add a dash of color).

All of these knife and pin prick shots definitely make me shudder so I guess they are effective in meeting the challenge. Others went further with their shots, though as far as committing to the puncture or laceration. I do like the composition here. Good angle with the pin and good lighting.
