Nice capture of a slice of daily life/street photography. I get what you are trying to convey but the photo composition needs a bit more attention to details to strongly convey it within the photo itself. First off, I'd recommend bringing your audience in closer to the main subject. There's just too much negative space around her that we don't notice the expression on her face. Get closer to your subject - show us the frustration and annoyance on her face. Expression will help make a connection with your audience. Second, show don't tell. The impact rests too heavily on the title to identify what we should be seeing. The composition would be better if there was a sign identifying this as a bus stop or if it was taken with the woman sitting at a bus shelter. Also if you caught her looking at her watch that would more strongly convey the title. |
