I couldn't decide if it was better for Spring or Autumn, I think it could have been considered as DNMC on either challenge. In the end I just throw a coin and Autumn came...

Thanks Cory, I really like the shoot but looks like it was too springy for an Autumn challenge!

I love the field of blue and green. I would've picked the second or third leaf and lied. ;) this one just doesn't work for me.

Great light and details captured in this shot. I like the idea you are presenting to me and the audience. However, the Autumn leaf takes a back seat to all those bold and vibrant blue flowers and deep green of the grass. Those flowers speak Spring to me - not Summer where it will naturally fall into Autumn. I think had you cropped closer and trimmed much of the field of flowers out of the frame to put the focus solely on the leaf it would project Autumn more strongly. I suspect that the leaf was planted there and as such you would have control over the arrangement of elements. If so, then a leaf that is less crumpled to show off the full shape would have been best. It would show off more details in the leaf and be more readily identifiable as a leaf.

Personally, with all the blue flowers I would think this is more suited for the Spring challenge? I do like the composition and the detail in the foreground. Great DoF?

on spring flowers? Scilla siberica usually blooms in early spring on the northern hemisphere.
