 Three photo HDR of a old barn and farmyard in Cortland,OH. I've passed by this barn many times on the way to the golf course and always thought it would make a great photo. So I took advantage of this competition to finally get out and take the photos. I really like working with black and white, so that was an added bonus. I took several of this barn, and several more of another barn in the area, but I liked this one the most.

Color photos were combined with Photomatix using a version of the Painterly preset. I processed the result with Photoshop for levels, contrast adjustments, conversion to black and white, and dodge and burn. Then back into Lightroom for sharpening, noise reduction, and export to jpeg.

Very good work here. Not overdone in any way. Love all the details as far as the eye can see. I think your choice to set up at the distance you did was a good choice, it puts it all into proper scale.
