Broke about 20 lightbulbs for this shot.
No triggers, just remote cord by hand.
Processing in C1, then photoshop CS with neat image to reduce noise from the high ISO, cloned out a few stray pieces that were not attractive and adjusted some levels.

Now I have to go clean up before my wife sees the mess!!!

Cool capture, yet I am confused. Was the shell a cover for the bulb? Nevertheless, bumping it up.

Just a touch of motion blur or it would be perfect

Ohhh, definitely an explosive capture. Love the colors, angles, and light. Let us know how you blew it up...if other then the title, and I'm sure you swept up the mess.

Really great shot. Can't wait to read your description. Rated 9 rather than 10 because of comparative lack of focus on larger glass pieces off to the left. Congratulations and good luck with the challenge.

Wow! Very dramatic!!! I'd be interested to know how you did this - and got the timing right - AND how many lightbulbs you went through!!

The rich colours and composition really enhance the impact of the image.

This is wonderful, I love the backdrop. Harold Edgerton (the person who first photographed this) would be proud.

Great capture, but not very visually appealing to me.
