This photo definitely does have some shock value and it does seem to represent the song title. There are several things that I don't care for, however. The scene seems too bright to represent an act so dark. I think it would have worked much better with a dark background and only a single light source barely lighting the bloody gloves. The glove itself seems wrong for this. The white color is fine but the style and texture doesn't really go with murder. It looks more like a gardening glove or a kitchen glove. The knife is pretty cool even though it is quite short. I think I would have worked on the composition some more by having the glove at a more severe angle to the knife as if they were just dropped or tossed in that position. Technically it is very good, sharp and detailed. What is basically lacking for me is the mood of such a grissly act. I think you needed to go further than the blood and knife and really experiment with different lighting situations. 5 -Tim |

I can hear the negative comments from here. Good shot, it'll be interesting to see the comments and the votes. Fairly good depiction, like the DOF. |

A bit edgy for this crowd, don't you think? Very sharp, clear photo. The blood on the fingers seems more convincing than that on the blade (wonder why?) I don't know the song, but I will take your word for it, esp. since you bothered to include the band name (thanks, that helped!) 7 Swash |

just a little head's up, you might not wanna let your guidance counselor get ahold of this. and taking the knife to school will definately get you sent home early. stabbing somebody's kind of an extreme length to go to for a dpchallenge, but i gotta admire your determination. |

Too gruesome for me. Even though it is only make believe. The knife is out of focus at the handle and the fingers of the glove are out of focus on the two sides. Just can't deal with it personally. 3 PTL |
