(1) COMPOSITION (CONTENT) Well composed. The strong use of rule of thirds makes a very powerful composition. The scene is also very interesting, making this a photograph that keeps the attention of the viewer for a long period of time. The details in the old wood, and in the clouds makes me want to keep coming back to see what I have missed. The longer one looks at it, the more interesting details come to light.

(2) BACKGROUND I guess in this case the background would be the heavy threatening sky. Just enough detail to add to the photo without overwhelming it.

(3) CAMERA WORK ,TECHNICAL Exposure is good. Composition is very strong. The focus is very sharp. Overall, excellent camera work.

(4) DIGITAL PROCESSING ,TECHNICAL In my opinion, this could have been cropped a little tighter to allow a better view of the interesting weathered wood. With all of the interesting textures, I wonder how this would look in Black and White.

(5)MEETING THE CHALLENGE This photo does a very good job of meeting the challenge. I can not imagine any house that I have ever seen that would match this song title quite so well.

(6) MY OPINION ON THE PHOTO A very good photograph. I would love to have this hanging in my family room so I could continue to go back and look again. Everytime I look, I see something new that I had missed before. Nicely done!

good focus, composition, and exposure. Needs a tighter crop all around...

The fence on the right hand side cuts into the house a bit, I'd have taken the shot a bit more to the left I think. It's always challenging to shoot into the light source but you've managed to keep the detail in the shadows, for the most part. If I had to hazard a guess, this looks like PTMAN's work...?? Seems Australian to me! Nice clarity to the shot.

Rustic! I love the way the sky is so brooding, and it seems like it might be enough to topple this house. I hope it withstood the rain!

That fallen pole rather gets in the way.

Fits wonderfull to the title: it's probably impossible to find a better house for this song. A little cropping and a frame would have probably improved the image, but still: thumb up.

The outback looks mighty dry.

I really love this picture... But never heard the song. Still get an 8 however.

My first reaction to this photo was a six and not that interesting to look at, but when I went back through to make comments I just couldn't get over the vivid colors and how crisp the focus was. The photo also fit the song title perfectly so I am going to upgrade to an 8. Good job.

Take my comments for what they are worth for I am just a novice with a new camera. Dodo

Where in the world did you find this old house? I love it. I can just imagine the family that lived there. This is so neat. Besides that it's a good photo. Nice clear and sharp. Sky looks like a storm is coming, which to me adds to the "old house". Very good composition with execellent execution. Nice job. It's a 9. PTL

Definitely an old house. =-) I really like this photo. Only thing that distracts me is what appears to be a fence to the on the right. 8

Great work - that's exactly the type of photo I want to take. Beautiful subject, great composition, lovely soft colouring, good exposure and even the grey clouds help create the effect. Plus it could work well as an album cover. Top score.
