 OK, I admit, if I understand the concept of Wabi Sabi even to some degree, it's definitely not "me".

Perhaps the picture exemplifies the concept. A hand knotted carpet, taken care of but used and appreciated daily. Those much loved old slippers, still polished to a shine; wearing darned socks, because they are still "good", and someone took the time in this day and age to actually darn rather than replace with new ones.

This image comes with great admiration for my mum, who actually still darns socks even though she holds down a full time job and my dad who probably is the one person in our family who does live a life of Wabi Sabi. Taking the time to enjoy the day because every day is a beautiful day.

This one got bumped several times by me. Not sure whether it was the cracks in the leather of these well worn slippers or the darned toes, but it's an ahhh image for sure. What feels better than slipping your feet out of shoes and into your favorite slippers at the end of a long day? Top 10 for me. Voted earlier; back to comment.
