 This is a concrete plant a few blocks from my office. Each morning it starts billowing smoke/steam that may or may not have been darkened a bit in post.

That's some thick, heavy smoke there! A distracting composition though...there's a lot going on and my eye just cant seem to settle on anything. Perhaps a different crop or PoV would've suited?

I'm always amazed at how people could make an ugly industrial area look cool.
Great job on this, it fits the challenge well and I like how the smoke blends with the clouds.

Ok, I see smoke here and like how it's blending into the clouds (or creating the clouds). Not sure how "major" a role the smoke is playing however as this seems to be more about a construction site or plant with the smoke being secondary.
