 I grew this tree from a small branch cutting which I planted about 6 years ago. You can read the full history of this tree at HubPages.

I'm not that disappointed with the score - I knew this photo wasn't DPC friendly. What bothers me every time I look at the photo is that no matter how hard I try, I can't get the lowest branch of the tree to stay where I want it. I have this strong urge to remove it.

I had hoped this one would score very high, but I guess I knew it was outside the usual range of what the DPC collective rewards. It was one of only three 10's I gave in this challenge, though, and a fave.

Lovely! For me the word "bonsai" is forever linked to the short story "Slow Sculpture" by Theodore Sturgeon. Highly recommended, if you haven't read it already.
