I really like this shot but I have a feeling you will not receive great votes in this challenge. Soft focus and colors are great. Love the detail in the foreground frond.

almost the opposite of what was called for - dark subject, light only from the back and not enough to call the background white

Delicate and artful. Background is nice - light with variation. Foreground subjects read as dark rather than light, which probably will hurt scores.

Maybe a tighter crop would've benefited this image. Quite like the lonely feel to the flower...wish I could see just a tad more detail
