The cream colored wall of this decaying building was glowing in the setting sun, bringing out the textures in the old coat of paint.

The effect produced here was the result of Nik CEP4 solarization and midnight filters. The brown areas are where all the paint has peeled off. Shadows of the weed are superimposed on these. The actual weeds were transformed into "white" silhouettes.

The texture and coloring give it the effect of an old oil painting with degrading varnish.

Brighter highlights maybe? Otherwise, beautifully seen.

Is this an inverted image? Love the blue tones.

Voted earlier coming back to comment.

I think why I find this most appealing is the texture and the mood captured. The blue crackle backdrop both in color and overall feel gives me the sense of a cold, blustery day - the kind where the air is so crisp it crackles. The branches/willowy weed/flowers adds to the scene in that I see and 'feel' that cold wind rushing through - blowing the foliage making it bend and reach.

Looks like a painting. I love how brown goes with blue
