 Not a huge number of images taken in Feb, approx 100 - most of the 100 were discarded. Quite happy to find this one - I quite like it, it is representative of the Gamlastan (Old Town) in Stocklholm on a grey winter's day. The light was really flat.

Still loving that ISO 1600 is so usable from this camera. I could not have used an ISO 1600 shot from the D300.

Congrats on the top 10, you should be able to deal with flat light coming from the north west ;-)

May I ask why the ISO was bumped so high? The scene looks properly lit. Or is it because of that high ISO?

Looks like a place where I would want to live - if it wasn't for the low temperatures. Excellent shot, I like the colors and the peacefulness of the image. Wonder if you used a T/S lens to manage the distortion? Anyway, my fav in the challenge.

I think this is just charming - my favorite of the "still life" type images. The light, tones, and subject are all delightful. Lots of cool details to explore yet the over-all effect is one of simplicity. 10 Voted earlier.

I love the colors in this one. The warm golds of the one house wall is a nice contrast to the gray of the next building. Not to mention it adds warmth to the scene where winter white blankets the ground.

Another winter scene that is well processed and postcard perfect. To a dweller from the Southern Hemisphere this is as I would expect to see it in winter.
