This is part of the ruin of 18th century Pawling/Wetherill House at Walnut Hill Estate in Valley Forge, PA. After a 20 year period of rennovation and restoration, the building was destroyed by fire in 1967. All that remains is a shell, that is disappearing little by little as the weather takes it's toll and the forest reclaims it.

There is no tree branch that disappears under the doors. I think you're mistaking a crack in the wood floor for a tree branch. I'm not sure what you mean the light having "no logic to it". This was shot in morning light, the sun was coming from the photos upper right and was filtered by trees and the remains of other parts of the building.

Love the scene, colors are a bit too saturated for me which is funny because my own is over the top LOL I find the bright orange and the yellow green particularly distracting. Voted earlier; back to comment.

I love the color here and so much to catch the eye. I could see this as an illustration in a fairy tale. The curious hero/heroine sneaks into the garden and views the cottage door from afar...

This is my choice for the blue! The light and shadow, the color, the perspective, the foreground and background elements all work to create a magical scene of a lost world tucked away!!
