i see bits of color in the image, it might have looked nicer as a black and white photo!

Cool Photo (excuse the pun)

wow, theres some really nice detail in that ice cube

Who would've thought a cube of ice would make an interesting picture. You have done a great job, though. The lighting and framing all help to make a common item a neat picture.

much better than the other ice-to-water photos
04/26/2002 12:12:00 PM
It's definitely a transition but not particularily exciting.
04/26/2002 01:26:00 AM
Good choice using black and white. You met the challenge well.
04/25/2002 10:28:00 PM
good transition well lit

Maybe an alternate angle or a more active surface (for the water and ice to reflect and refract) would have made this shot more intriguing.

Nice shot. Seems to be some yellow floaty thing in the ice. yum.

I would preferred to se this in colour

Way to catch such clear details of the cube. One can feel it's coolness!
04/23/2002 01:30:00 PM
I like the internal detail of the ice, but I think the lighting is too harsh.
04/23/2002 08:50:00 AM
great idea but too blurry
04/23/2002 06:22:00 AM
Nice framing. I have only one problem with the distracting drop or two off to the right, behind the cube.
04/23/2002 05:11:00 AM
nice interpretation of the theme
04/22/2002 05:16:00 PM
why isn't the cube on fire? jk...good job

The water seems kinda dull and the ice seems to be getting too much light. Good idea, but poorly shot.
04/22/2002 03:30:00 PM
really nice composition.
04/22/2002 10:06:00 AM
boring

Very nice execution of this transition! I think centering the ice cube would have been a little nicer, but this is still a nice shot!!
04/22/2002 09:44:00 AM
the ice cube is too washed out, however the melted water toward the front is nice.
04/22/2002 06:29:00 AM
I would have liked a closer zoom, the background (floor) is pretty dul
04/22/2002 05:09:00 AM
the 'classic' transition. well focused but I think this could have been brought alive with more interesting light/ back light. Could be tricky. Good attempt. There is some dirt or food on the ice cube in the upper right - these things detract.
04/22/2002 04:35:00 AM
Nice lighting and the black/white does it justice.
04/22/2002 03:55:00 AM
a little too typical for my eyes
04/22/2002 03:32:00 AM
Good use of black and white.
04/25/2002 10:26:00 AM
decent
04/25/2002 09:02:00 AM
Very clear
