This man stopped me on the street in San Francisco. He told me a long story about serving in the Peace Corps in the Philippines. In the end it transpired that he just wanted money for the bus. I gave him some, and then asked if I could take his picture.

(This is my first attempt at street photography, and I still can't get over the discomfort of pointing the camera at random people...)
