Way to catch it all... Light to dark, old to new!!! Good tones also!!! |

Wow. very original. Nice balance. A lot of people would have put the line straight down the middle which would not have been nearly as effective as this. |

Excellent idea. The extra light on the right side washes out some of the detail though. |

What a clever shot, to see this and take the shot in the context of this weeks challenge!! |

Great use of light, but slightly over saturated on the left side. |

the left of the building is very blown out, i wonder if you could have taken a darker exposure and pushed the blacks a bit to bring out the detail of the darker side. |

Nice study in contrasts (of all kinds). |

Transition from light to dark works well here, good use of black and white. I would have liked it better if the left side wasn't so bright though |

Holy overxposed! This is a very interesting shot/subject, but the hotness of the left side distracts much too much. |

I guess what you're getting at is that the window on the left is newer than the right. The problem is that your dynamic range is too much for the camera so the left window is over exposed and the right one is underexposed. You could use a half neutral-density filter to reduce the contrast between the two, and get good exposure on both. Alternatively, you could add more lighting, or wait until the sun is in a better place. |

Nice contrast of dark and light. I wish the image was clear though... It seems a little grainy. |

Excellent photo. You did very well by choosing to do this iin B&W. |

interesting, i like that you captured the new window with the light on it's side, further emphasizes the transition from old ('n dreary) to new ('n bright) |

Good transition! The brightness on the left side of this shot is just a bit powerful... |

Love it! Could have been a little more square though. |

cool catch.. contrast is high on the left side, but it works in this shot. |

Interesting, light to dark and old to new for the windows. Exposure is a bit blown out on the light side - though it would be hard to get balanced. Overall not really sharp enough to have much bite. Good attempt. |

I think the contrast between the bright white and the deep shadows is to harsh. Loved the subject though. |

Tough lighting in which to capture this shot. I like the use of black and white. |

Transition, at least for me, implies motion and a sense of being temporary. I don't see that in this picture. It's a good contrast between new and old, but nothing transitory about it. |
