Critique Club review
Interesting composition. The musician seems lost in his music, while the listener, if he is even listening, seems displeased, and looks like he waiting for someone off camera. The biggest fault I see with this photo is the position of the tree behind the musician. It appears to be growing out of his head. A different camera angle would have helped here, or if it was a posed shot, repositioning the models.
Considering the title, I think positioning the camera more to the right, so as to avoid the intrusion of the window and the tree behind the head, and possibly elminating the passerby would lead to a stronger photo. This would have put more focus on the musician, which is the strongest element here.
In this photo, the over all exposure is good. The colors are a little bit cool. The bricks have almost a blue cast to them. However, saturation is good. Contrast is very good. Depth of field and sharpness are excellent. |

Great photo. The man on the crutches doesn't appear to be enjoying the music. Nice composition. Good color. Nice cropping. But there's something wrong and I can't quite figure it out. Maybe over sharpened to get a better focus and bring out the texture? Almost looks staged. Nice job. 7 PTL |

Poor guy doesn't seem to have much of an audiece. Strong connection to the challenge. Very good focus and detail. Not certain what the man with the crutches is doing here, listening or passing through (can't tell). 8 Swash

I like the concept, great thinking! Great light and crisp shot. I just don't get why the other guy was included in the shot? 7.
Take my comments for what they are worth for I am just a novice with a new camera. Dodo |

this is great. good example of how you don't always wanna ask people's permission before taking a picture. he might not want to be the internet's most famous guy on crutches, but man if he ain't compelling. if you have any doubts remaining about the wisdom of carrying a camera at all times, relinquish them. |

I like this moment. The man on crutches was probably just walking by. But when captured it appears that he just stands and listens and does not look at the musician. I don't know I might be wrong about that though. But regardless of the man on crutches' purpose you captured a story in the frame and I guess that's the idea. Nice Job. |
