Heart racing, sweat beaded on Salvatore's brow. The wig and fake features made him sweat more. He quicken his pace and gripped the suitcase tighter. He thought he had seen someone following him after he picked up the case at the drop-off point. He had watched it for an hour before he and Belinda moved in. She was waiting in another car in the parking garage- to run interference if anyone tried to follow. He was almost there. Salvatore just needed to get to the corner spot in the garage parking. Eyes to the ground he spotted the large yellow Stop sign painted on the road. "Maybe it was my imagination. Maybe that man has stopped following me," Salvatore thought but then made the mistake of looking up. There in the reflected mirror was the man with the cane. His pursuer. Salvatore broke out in a run.

This is a new comment series for me, so please bear with me while I find my style!

(Voted earlier)

This is one of my 8s - I like it quite a bit. Furthermore I think it enriches the DPC collective portfolio. Put simply, I wish we saw more stuff like this. Let me tell you why it pushes all the right buttons for me:

1. First of all, I really like the colours and contrast - the deep blue/grey of the shadows and the yellow text works so well.

2. Such shots have been done before but the relationship here between the text and the figure (with a stick?) is marvellous.

3. I also like how although we know he is behind us, we still want to peer down the right hand side of the wall.

Overall, a very effective image.

Another concept photo that not all might get, but I'm certain I know how this came about. Very very subtle. Great composition and capture - gotta give props where props are due - well done.
