"Bailey the Big Black Dog" lost her 10-year battle with epilepsy this morning. She went out to the back yard where her goal in life was to keep squirrels off the grass, had a massive seizure, and was gone in about 10 minutes. She'd been on medication for years but finally had the big one. She was a great dog and we will miss her greatly.

My condolences for your loss. At least you have some great shots to remember her by.

Good looking dog! I like the inclusion of the Oregon grapes at bottom right, nice colour contrast to the rest of the image.
P.S.: Sorry to hear about your loss :)

Tough losing a dog that has served as a companion. Looks like a good friend.

Sorry to hear about your loss. I was going over a week's back-up of comments and this stops me in my tracks. All the best to you.

Oh, that's sad. Sorry to read about it, but I suppose it's good to know she went doing something she enjoyed.

Ah how sad - no matter what there is never the right time to lose a dear friend. I looked at her photo for quite some time - I love that her brown eyes are looking off to the horizon - you did a great job of getting the varying shades of blacks.grays in her fur - not easy on a black dog. I hope you are chasing squirrels Bailey.

Awh! It's always hard to lose a pet. It's a terrific portrait. I'm imaging all kinds of critters that have caught her attention off frame.
