Very funny. Quite an interesting lighting effect too. |

I'm enjoying this as a stage piece - on a plate no less. Pun notwithstanding, there is a somber side of the fallen manderin and conspiratorial group. Compositional instability adds some tension. |

Didn't make the connection on first glance, then when I looked a bit harder I burst out laughing. I'm not sure if that was your intended reaction, but I love the visual pun |

Good idea, loved reading the other comments. The definition (texture, color) of the orange mandarins is beautiful, but the light on the figures could be better I think. |

The humor is appreciated .. it's so funny and yet at the same time, rather indicative of the attitude of times we live in - 3 stand chatting while totally ignoring the fallen one - I like the shadows the fruit make on the plate. |

Love the humor. This is also a mysterious image that makes one think about the scene. |

LOL! The killing mandarins! Ninja mandarins! I like the vibrant orange colour, and the greens, it's a mysterious lighting, almost noir in character with the shadows. |

While I like the silhouettes the bit of light on the one that shows details makes me want to see more. As is it's a bit like a campfire with oranges instead of flames. Clever. |

Someone has been kicked out of the group. The way you have the light angled you can see some of the fruit reflected. Nice. |

I really like the set up and the Manderins in silhouette im loving, especially the way you have grouped the 3 and one randomly lying flat. I like what you have chosen to light, but for me just a little softer would have been more pleasing, like the light on the front manderin. |

Very funny :-).
I do think that you create too much contrast on the fruit with your choice of lighting. Especially the leaves; some parts are almost black, others green. I would have thought a more even light would perhaps have worked better (I think the figures as silhouettes work well). |

Very clever but exposure seems a little off. |

Haha! One Mandarin has passed out. Painting with light? I think you need a longer exposure :) |
