This is a new comment series for me, so please bear with me while I find my style!

This is one of my 8s - I like it a good deal. Furthermore I think it enriches the DPC collective portfolio. Put simply, I wish we saw more stuff like this. Let me tell you why it pushes all the right buttons for me:

1. Ha, how the snow is on the branches almost make this look like infrared - the added glow helps to accentuate this effect.

2. The highlights on the tree should look blown but somehow (careful histogram monitoring?) you've managed to avoid such a look.

3. The overall framing is perfect, giving just enough space for the tree and its shadow.

4. The deeply dark sky offers great contrast to the snow - red filter in software?

Overall, a very well executed and effective image.
