 Thumbnail of a photo of my cousin, taken by my brother. Tried to position my fingers to obscure any obvious identifying features, besides my primitive software ... ;-)

-Handheld, manual mode
-FL 91.2mm (35mm EQ)
-Mask to separate hand
-Separate Curves to hand & BG
-Channel Mixer in monochrome mode to hand
-Crop to square
-Resize
-Separate USM to hand and photo through masks
-SaveAs JPEG at quality 9/10 = 295KB

I liked the idea here, but not sure about the B&W hand.

I actually quite liked this and gave it 7. I only gave one other shot a higher vote. The shot had a lot to say to me.

Having some second thoughts.... thinking that this one might be Venser's, not what i was thinking before...
