| Hard to know how to judge this one. The photo is gorgeous! But...the little bit of blue in the sky doesn't speak to me as a burst of color that is offsetting anything. So I have judge the photo in the context of the challenge but I think I will only deduct a point cause I love the photo so much. Maybe I should focus more on the challenge category but nahhh. I love this. |

My guess is that it's not BURSTING enough? I think they need to get out from behind their desks more...
Beautiful scape, great composition, perfect WB, great photography and it DMC. |

| Lovely image to be sure, but is the blue really bursting at me? I don't think it is. Nor are the browns/greens. |

| Not buying it for the challenge - the blue is not intense enough, and blends with the rest of the shot rather than being an emphasis. However, this is an absolutely gorgeous photo. I especially like the big fir on the left 1/3 line as an anchor and balance to the mountain peak on the right 1/3. Wonderful motion patterns in the water, and great color on the bushes. Looks like the unspoiled wilderness, right down to no human tracks in the snow! 7 |

Beautiful image but I just dont see how it fits the challenge.
I don't know if the sky's the subject or it's supposed to offset everthing else. |

| My mind doesn't picture and BURST of color in this. It's a lovely photo but nothing just pops out at me. The blue sky is really the only burst I see. |

| I like the picture, but when I first looked at it, my eyes landed on the brownish plants in the middle, not on the blue sky. Might've benefited from a tighter crop. |
