 (South African) Cliff Swallow, Hirundo spilodera catching Flying Ants (aka Termites) that have winged and are leaving their nest to build new colonies. Hand held shot in overcast wet (drizzle) conditions.

Great in-flight catch! I love the out of focus, barely discernible, grasses behind the bird!

Oh this is beautiful. It amazes me that you got a wonderful capture...your timing is impeccable. The fact that bird has a bug in its mouth, and the wings show just a hint of motion blur. The DOF of the green is wonderful. Great Job.

Well well Harvey, you outdid yourself on this one - I love to read the settings when Photographers are kind enough to put them in and I am amazed at how crisp the sigma is - mind you I have never held one so I don't know it's size but you nailed the important parts - the supper - I love how the wings are positioned - Victorious! Such a tiny bird and so much to look at well done indeed!

Oh yes, they are very active this year, swooping down almost smashing into one's face, I tried and tried but they are just too quick to get them nice and clear such as this one.
Hold tight, I have a gut feeling this is going to ribbon but if not, still a fantastic shot.
