Too often attempts at photgraphic abstraction seem distractingly contrived because of repetitive patterns that result from camera movement. But somehow you have avoided that pitfall with seemingly random and arbitrary lines and splotches that dominate the few repetitions from movement. The fading spoons seem to float in a jumble of intangible recollections. |

Interesting mix...but someone has to say it...
There is no spoon. |

Interesting. I like the spiderweb like threads ending in sort of droplets. |

Almost the inverse of light painting...painting with the camera |

Interesting effect. I did not see the spoons until I read the description. |

Very cool, and I love Trumpeteers idea re marbles in a metal bowl too - thanks.
I wished we would see more of this type of abstract image in challenges, but I realise they are not very popular with the average voter :-( - such a shame. |

Cool effect. It's a lot of fun playing around with the longer exposures. I was actually able to get an effect not too different from this by photographing marbles rolling around in a metal bowl. Really like all the light trails. |

Looking at the thumbnail, I thought you were doing astrophotography. Overall, I like the abstract, except in this case, I think being able to see the spoons clearly distracts from the overall effect. |

Yep, looks like marble .. would make a great layer/texture too. A unique idea that paid off. |

I thought it was polished stone too! The cob web like light trails are very interesting. |

Interesting idea. I would never think of anything like that. I like how it turned out. |

Reminds me of a slice of highly veined and polished stone. |
