Predominantly black subjects are notoriously difficult to expose correctly. You did well on this to get details in the feathers and not OE the entire scene. Even more difficult in flight. Well captured and good focus on the head/eye Rian. I agree with nam, the horison is unfortunate that it slices the bird and is distracting. Had it not been for that I'd have given an 8 but ended with a 7 instead. |

This is a very nice in-flight capture - I envy those! - but the position against the background is unfortunate, in my opinion. I could also use a bit more detail in the shadows. Voted earlier. 8 |

I admire these kind of pictures maybe because I can't shoot birds this way. Lovely and will always get a high mark from me |
