 My husband and I drove by, he stopped for me to get out and shoot. Five or six shots that's all I got before the magic moment was gone. The lady is serving her 8 year old boy who is not in view. Lovely rural moment which I was so lucky to experience.
Thanks for all the comments and votes, I knew it wouldn't do well but it still drew 15 comments and main prize it caught the eyes of Don and Paul! That is first prize in my book.

It's a little too saturated for me and I would have liked slightly less contrast between the interior and the girl and exterior, but all in all I like this a lot. Great human interest and nice artistic appeal, too. Voted earlier. 8

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.

Positives: Great domestic scene offering up an engaging slice slice of life. The contrast between the internal adult silhouette and the outdoor child works really well.

Critical stuff: I can't help thinking that this might be better in a monochrome rendition.

Overall: Nicely seen and composed.
