 The ambient light was created in pp. The painting was on a dirty off white wall and the floor plain grey.
I just wanted to create an atmosphere matching the imaginary thoughts of the viewer.
Since I am a painter myself, I am fascinated by the way people look at art.

The way you've treated the wall makes the painting more like a window or a scene from a movie screen.

Fascinating. That silhouette is art itself. I love that she has become part of the picture by trying to observe the spectacle that has captured the attention of the man.

An odd painting - the main figure looks as though he has stomach cramps! The viewer reminds me of Johanna and is in the perfect position for this shot.

What I'm seeing here is a contrast between what seems like anxiety in the painting and the calmness and contemplation of the viewer. Interesting how the red from the painting is repeated in the foreground, probably by some lights. Beautiful picture.

Nice composition and how wonderful that you are allowed to take photos inside the gallery. Most of our art galleries and museums have now banned photography except in the common areas.

Great dark, rich colors. I like the shadows and the way the light falls here, whether naturally or created in post processing.
