Seed from a Sweet Gum tree. My daughter calls these "Spikey Things" for obvious reasons.
The shot has great contrast and DoF. Couldn't ask for a more interesting shot of a sweet gum seed! |

| Those things are hell on dog paws! Unfortunately for my dogs I have a Sweet Gum in my yard, and there are lots growing wild nearby. Cool-looking seed pods, though, and interesting photographically. |

| Very good, for sure. Your composition is very eye-pleasing. I like that street level perspective. Great b&w conversion. I would have simply cloned out that black circle middle right. Otherwise, great sharpness with nicely blurred bg. |
