Voted earlier coming back to comment and bump up a notch.
Love the shadow on the sidewalk and the B&W presentation. It is a good shot and has potential to be even better. First off I think that it would be better if you moved your angle such that the musician is more on the lighter contrast wall. He is in dark tones so he gets a bit lost on the darker backdrop of the building. The down side is that you would probably lose the shadow on the wall because the musician will be blocking it. Second I only get a sense that he is playing an instrument from the title - could there have been a moment in time or better position that the audience could see more of the instrument and/or the stand with the music sheet? It may have been difficult to capture that moment, but I think it would help the visual impact more. The shadow on the sidewalk is great but my first impression was it was an artist sitting at an easel until I looked at the title. |
