 A bit "dark" for me, I know... But...

I like how he refuses to meet the viewer in the eye....

It's as if he's in pain... but will "speak no evil".

This is not my usual work... I'm usually a "Life is Good" kinda girl... but this fascinates me for some reason that I cannot explain.

I had a more cheerful entry entered... but kept coming back to this. It draws me in... I see something in the photograph that I did not intend to capture. It's caught me by surprise.

I'm... at a loss about this. It's new to me.

I'm anxious to see/hear what the voters and commenters think.



Post-Challenge: This isn't a de-sat image... It's just... the way it is.

I'm actually glad that this didn't do well... *grin*

I'm off to my normal "Life is GOOD!" self...

This was one of my top 3 picks for the challenge, and I am stunned that it ended up finishing outside of the top ten. Great shot.

I love everything about this image, thought it would place higher. The dark shadows and the expression really make this image.

Oh Lydia - this was one of my top picks. Dark does you well. Loved the off-centered comp. The flower is a nice little gift for the moment. Finished too low!

The photo itself has good mood in it, and is creative. I really dislike almost every use of selective saturation, and unfortunately, this one is no different.
