You can't change how you want to see.

That little stump should be moved down there.
And that tree over here.
You want to bend your eyes in a rule of thirds
and follow the river down to infinity, or maybe it was an iota.

It'll do poorly. But I quite enjoy the shot, which is rare nowadays.

Taken with the 105 2.5 AIS outside of Nehalem, Oregon.
Overcast and Rainy.
Non-Crop.
Some post down in Lightroom and ColorEfex, but is not too far from the original.

Cheers! Yes, a critique would be nice.

Looks so lonely.

Not sure why you chose a portrait orientation for this. The sky is empty and takes too much weight from the balance. There are not enough interesting elements to make up the deficit. The image brings on a cold and lonely feeling though.

Not sure I like the composition: lots of sky and lots of water. Colours are a bit flat as well.

I like the idea of this one, but I feel a landscape crop would have worked better. As it is there is too much dead space at the top and bottom.

Interesting choice in center composition. Works ok for this, since there is so much negative space.

Good harmony, very soothing picture
