CRITIQUE CLUB REVIEW
I like the toning and the grain on this. However, without your camera settings, it's hard for me to know if you did that graininess on purpose or if that just happened because it was dark when you shot.
The composition is interesting but there is a slight tilt to the horizon.
I wonder if you could have done something to make the contrast between to the 2 forms of lighting more strong. Perhaps shined a spot light on the bulb so it was more lit, used a large aperature so that your DOF made the bulb standout, or maybe had the bulb turned on?
It's a good concept and I think with a few tweaks, it could make an excellent picture. |

excellent toning on this photo... I think the 'grain' in this photo adds a nice element to your theme of visiting the past. Grain is normally associated with 'old' as is the sepia tone... nice work :) - setzler |

Focus is soft and image is grainy. Great subject though. Good luck! |

Nice photo, the edges seem strong, but somehow fuzzy. Is this soft focus? If so, why? 7 Swash |

Took me a minute to get this one. I think sepia helped you here, because the candles don't show up too well in B&W. They're too grainy as it is. It's a little dark, but you probably did that intentionally. I'd give it between a 5 and a 6. PTL |

Great Idea! I think I would have used a more standard light bulb, I had to look twice at it too figure out what it was. The shot has a grainy look to it, it makes it look like an old photo, i like that effect. Good work. |
