 yes, i know it's cliche and a bit of a shoehorn and not even expertly edited but......what were we talking about?

Well he's a celebrity of sorts, in the roller skating world. He was very well known with inline skating enthusiasts in the late 80's early 90's when it hit it's peak of popularity. Nowadays he coaches roller derby and has his own line of boots and wheels geared toward the sport.
I have actually known him for about 25 years now, met him, oddly enough when him and my older brother and I all worked at a skating rink lol

If it wasn't such a fantastic portrait, the attempted shoehorn would have cost you a few points from me. :) Superb shot, though, Jason. My immediate reaction was "Whoa!! Eddie Murphy is trying to hypnotize me!" :P

Great shot and I can see why your model likes it, but to me it was not a good topic fit (the hands are grabbing my attention) and .. I hate that cliche.

The hands are a window to the soul? Never heard that one before :) I like the idea here, but somehow I think the eyes must be the focus for this to work for the challenge and title. Voted earlier.

Great approach!
Love how he's reaching out. Nice black and white.
I like the fact that you didn't use a window, instead, the title says it all.

Terrific image. Really powerful pose, and perfectly lit. I like your ooh thinking, but will likely get slammed here. Although I do love the image as is, perhaps emphasizing the eyes more (ie closer pose) would fit the challenge better.
