I do not expect this shot to score well considering most of the photo is in one big shadow - but that also happens to be what I personally love about this place.
This park is one I've been going to since I was about 12 and we had a family portrait taken here. Though I lived miles away, once I was old enough to drive, I would come and sit here occasionally just to enjoy the unusually lush beauty in the middle of the big city. When I was a student in college just a mile away I would walk and jog around it and come here many nights and sit and think.
I always loved being in the shadows at night, here. For some reason no one ever comes here at night.
I couldn't sleep. The moon was full, the challenge was "Shadows," and the night was beautiful - so after waiting a year and a half since my last challenge entry, I thought I would capture the shot.
