The bit of grey on the right is a little distracting, but other than that it's a wonderful shot and good idea!

I can't make any suggestions for improvement. You've met the challenge, your shot is well focused, I like the use of positive and negative space. I tended to rate natural lighting higher in this challenge because it was harder to achieve. But being a mother this shot is very emotive and certainly has its place among the better shots.
