 I had this location scouted a few months ago. I was waiting for a misty, sunny morning and when the conditions were right I set out to take this shot with the UWA lens.

I might have cheated this image giving it a 9. beautiful lines and complimenting strong colors up close with soft ones behind.

This is the type of photo that really is what this challenge aims at, IMHO. The type where if you cloned out some parts, the overall image would be much better.

Interesting tree. I don't really see anything distracting, it all seems to work with the scene. Overall the image seems a bit bland though.

An okay photo of the tree root and trunk. A few minor things in the background, but not a lot of distractions in the scene.
