Cute kids, but isn't backlit IMO, the light seems to be coming mostly from the side.

Nice snap. Pretty girl. Good focus. Somewhat busy. Backlighting's not so obvious.

Cute kid, but this looks like a snapshot. The colors appear washed out (although it could just be faded playground equipment) and it's not very sharp. Plus, it's not backlit - from the shadows that I can see, the sun appears to be above and in front of her.

With backlighting you're more likely to get light coming through the hair (from the back) rather than falling on the front of the face. This appears to be front/side lighting rather than backlighting.
