i m really curious about the method for going from the relative blurred background to the clear, crisp look of the entry.
Do you go through a special sharpening/contrast process to get that clean look out of the water? If you don't mind sharing, i d be very intersted in learning the technique. |

Thanks a lot for sharing the original. This is an impressive example of excellent processing. Not that your original image wasn't special, but you've really found the essence in it and displayed it at maximum potential. Very well done.
And of course congratulations on the ribbon... your first? Hard to believe. |

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.
Positives: The second landscape I've included in this month's comment series (it was nearly three). You've created a special mood here - I feel like I'm looking at an illustration in an old book (probably a C.S. Lewis novel), the colour and tones are magnificently handled; the sense of a light mist creates much atmosphere and the clarity of the rocks on the other side of the water is superb, as is the appearance of the foreground subsurface rocks.
Critical stuff: Nope
Overall: A magnificent landscape image. I really hope this does well. |

| This looks like it might be HDR as well as many others in this free study! i like this best so far. Great photo of a beautiful landscape. I wish we could get some mountaints and/or snow in florida! |
