Totally fanciful title based on the way the Monarch seemed to be pointing. Love the bokeh and light here, and this MAY be one of the 8 Monarchs I watched grow from caterpillars to butterflies in my garden this summer. Magical experience. Made me even more fond of Monarchs :-)
PP - cropped, tonemapped in qtpfsgui (pregamma 0.697, mantiuk method, contrast mapping 0.1, saturation factor 1.029, detail factor 1), reduced noise and merged in luminousity mode, white balance, slight color shift towards oranges, sharpened, resized, sharpened with noise reduction, added border. |

| I love the light here - bokeh is beautiful and how cool to see the flower through the wings. Not so crazy about the stem on the diagonal in the upper right corner, but still a top pick. 9 Voted earlier. |

| On first sighting a lovely image but your compression ratio has let it down I think. Also the antennae are very crinkled and the wings frayed and dishevelled so it leads me to believe the BF is a dead specimen, bolstered by the one errant lone foreleg grasping at the sky and not a purchase point on the plant. The "Bokeh" is very pretty. |
