 The Colorado River snaking through the Grand Canyon as seen from above - actually from the plane going from San Diego to the midwest - flying at 41,000 feet above.

Autolevels, burning, contrast and saturation, resizing and unsharp mask.

I'd have expected to have seen to many shots of the Canyon, but this is really nice - with the Colorado picked out nicely and plenty of detail. Well chosen portion to shoot - and that must have been a great trip.

Boy, not too many people rent a helicopter just to get a DPC shot! :) Very nice shot -- I like it a lot! It looks just a teensy bit over-saturated to my eye, but I still love the vantage point and hope to get out there again someday.

This looks like it was a fun trip! I usually avoid noontime shots, but I think that might have been a better time for this photo since the shadows are so dark. I also think this shot might benefit from a bit more contrast to really highlight the colorful striations. Still, this is a really nice photo and a great memento from your vacation. :-)

I love this shot. The river going diagonally through the photo from corner to corner is perfect. A winner!

Wish I was able to afford to when I was there. Apparantly the photographs one gets on the arial trip are well worth the money. I found the Grand Canyone nearly impossible to photograph. If I had come home with a shot like this I would blow it up as big as I possibly could and hang it in my home. 10
