I can't believe I made such a stupid spelling mistake in the title. Had submitted and unsubmitted three different images and had seconds to go.... oh well, maybe it will teach me to submit early... sorry about that!!

I very much appreciate the comments I've received on this - people have been very kind despite my dyslexic fingers.... These kids were getting ready to show their animals at County Fair and often the kids go through as much preparation as the critters.

Great "life as it is" capture. I personally have a love of this type of photography. Absolutely dig the communication circuit...the girl holding phone, listening to mom while girl on the phone chats with another while doing her sister's(?) hair and the little one's look of subtle, incredulity is priceless! 10

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.

Positives: A slice of everyday (special?) day magic. You've shot with the eye of a film maker here - story over control. Although the tones are quite flat - this just adds to the sense of ordinary you have crafted.

Critical stuff: It's unfair of me but I do hanker for a bit more sharpness. I'm almost ashamed to admit it.

Overall: Masterfully understated.
