I think this is brilliant, and it has a GREAT deal to do with the colour, the brassy-toned palette, the intensity of mourning that becomes this electric city.

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.

Positives: This certainly is an image that emerges from having an unconventional eye! I like blur and I like how this image almost shudders in its execution - I also like how much we can discern - a woman, the ground, the water ahead and the buildings beyond. I like that there is story but the plot remains a mystery.

Critical stuff: It's gaudy - an assault to the eye; too much probably - you risk pushing people away rather than inviting them to look and appreciate.

Overall: Interesting choices - not one for me but I appreciate what you've done.

Very cool effect! Abstract, but with enough detail and movement to study for awhile.
